Logos for Will Packer Media, WP Narrative_, and Power Star Live
Being at a small agency, I work on pretty much everything that goes through our shop, and I never really know what's going to be put on my plate on any given day. While advertising is my true love, my design background allows me to tackle a range of visual communications projects. Today it was nice to see two logos I've worked on be projected on a big stage.
Last June, when our agency got purchased by Will Packer, our name changed, and Narrative_ became WP Narrative_. So we needed new logos. We wanted to maintain our visual style but bring in the new letters. Working with our CCO, Benjamin Vendramin, this is what we settled on.
With everybody liking the new Narrative logo, I was asked to do the logos for Will's new parent company, Will Packer Media. The logo needed to feel like an evolution of his production company's logo and as Will is still known for his hats, so we kept that icon, but designed it for a crisper and more futuristic look. We also adjusted the typeface on both the new logo and the production company's logo to Benjamin Franklin's fav, Baskerville, to make sure the logos more readable in small sizes.
I even built an animated version of the logo in 4K for future video content.
Lastly, while Tomo Johnson was working at our agency, he and another creative were tasked with designing a logo for Will's new Twitter show, "Power Star Live". When Tomo's design was chosen after his departure, I took his comps and created a refined vector version of the logo and then worked with Benjamin on its color variants.
